Membership of the association is for anyone involved in lecturing or researching into Religious Education or involved with initial teacher education in Religious Education, primary or secondary. For more details please download a membership application form.

The AULRE conference 2010 is open to members and non-members and will be held at the University of East Anglia (UEA). For more details see the conference page.

The Journal of Beliefs & Values maintains a specific interest in the scriptures of the major world faiths, especially their use in teaching within a multi-cultural context, in school, college and university. Particular emphasis is placed on the interface between the theory and practice of religion and education, including research in formative factors like gender, race and religious pluralism. Each edition of the journal will contain four main sections

  • major articles, subject to peer review
  • brief research reports, subject to peer review
  • notes on work in progress, limited to 150 words
  • book reviews
