Graeme
Nixon is a lecturer in the school of Education at the University of
Aberdeen. His principle teaching role is to co-ordinate Religious Education
programmes for graduate and undergraduate student teachers at both primary
(4-12) and secondary level (12-18). Graeme also teaches thinking skills
to students and as CPD for teachers. Additionally Graeme co-ordinates
the studies in Mindfulness MSc programme at the university which allows
professionals to explore the efficacy of mindful meditation. Graeme
has published on the development of RE in Scotland, particularly with
regard to the emergence of philsophical content and methodology within
it. Graeme is also the convener of the Scottish Joint Committee for
Religious and Moral Education curriculum group. Graeme was a teacher
and principle teacher of RE from 1994-2005
