Board member for Belgium

Currently treasurer of EfTRE. I’m a lecturer in ‘didactics of religion’at the eldest teacher training college of Flanders for primary education ( normaalschool Torhout). My subjects are symbol didactics, bible didactics, bibliodrama, conflict resolution, history of church, citizenship, P4C and didactics of visual data (art). Since 1995 our school (RENO) has become part of the Katholieke Hogeschool Zuid-West-Vlaanderen (KATHO) and I have become adj. international co-ordinator. I was a member and editor of a Flemish magazine for religious education ( Korrelcahier) and for the last ten years I have been co-author of several textbooks edited by Pelckmans. These textbooks cover religious education for primary and secondary schools based on a new curriculum of religious education.

Sinds 1989 ben ik lector in godsdienstdidactiek aan de normaalschool van Torhout (een van de oudste lerarenopleidingen van Vlaanderen). Mijn cursussen behandelen symbooldidactiek, bijbeldidactiek, bibliodrama, conflicthantering, kerkgeschiedenis en beelddidactiek ( met speciale aandacht voor christelijke kunst). De RENO maakt sinds 1995 deel uit van de katholieke hogeschool Zuid- West- Vlaanderen (KATHO). Eind jaren tachtig en begin jaren negentig was ik redactielid van een Vlaams tijdschrift voor godsdienstonderricht ( Korrel, Korrelcahier). De laatste tien jaar werkte ik als co–auteur mee aan diverse godsdiensthandboeken voor lager en secundair onderwijs bij de uitgeverij Pelckmans ( respons, roeach en tov) en dit naar aanleiding van een nieuw curriculum rooms – katholieke godsdienst.
