Applying for a place at conference

Applications are welcome for a place at conference 2010. Please read the information below carefully and then click on the Application Form link in order to download an application form. You will be send a confirmation e-mail with a completed application form for you to check, sign (electronically) and then return. You will then receive an invoice which will include details of how to pay. Once you have paid you will have a place reserved at the conference.

Costs and cancellation policy

The conference fee will be €270 (see below for what this includes). There is an 'early bird' reduction of 10% (€243) for those who have paid in full before the 1st of April 2010 and the final date for booking will be the 1st of July, 2010. A refund will be given to anyone who cancels before the 30th June 2010 (there will be a 10% admin fee). Cancellations after this date due to exceptional circumstances will be given a refund at the discretion of the executive).

There is also the possibility of coming for any one of the day sessions, the costs are:

  • Wednesday, 25th: Half day includes drinks reception and lunch €40
  • Thursday 26th: Full day includes lunch and dinner €60
  • Friday 27th: Full day includes lunch and dinner €60

A small number of scholarships are available for students or those from countries in the East and Europe, a scholarship reduces the conference fee to €150. To apply for one of this scholarships please complete the appropriate form alongside the application form.

What the conference fee includes

The conference fee covers the following:

  • The conference pack
  • Lunches on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday
  • Dinner on Wednesday and the conference meal on Friday
  • All visits, including museum entry fees, guides and transportation
  • Refreshments
  • Lectures and Workshops

What the conference fee DOES NOT includes

  • Dinner on Thursday evening (this is free time for those who do not wish to attend the general assembly to spend in Bruges)
  • Accommodation - see the accommodations page for details of some possibilities
  • Travel to the conference

Accommodation

There is a wide range of accommodation available in the area. Please see the accommodations page for more details, and on how to book. A good rule is that the earlier you book the cheaper this will be.

Travel

Bruges in well served by rail links, road links and Brussels international airport is only about 1h (by train) away. Details on getting to Bruges can be found on the conference main page.

Application Forms

  • You need to download an application form [right/control click and save to your computer]. Please then complete this with your details, you can apply for places for yourself and up to two other colleagues on this form.
