EFTRE is a non-profit organisation which seeks to promote the development of the teaching of Religious Education in countries across Europe. It follows the Toledo principles on the teaching of Religious Education but recognises that different countries follow different patterns. It runs a conference, workshops and develops publications on teaching and learning in Religious Education. We welcome institutions with a direct interest in the teaching of Religious Education at school level from ages 4 to 19 and with those who support the teachers across these phases.

Institutional Membership

We currently have two categories of institutional membership. Organisations of teachers and organisations which support teachers. The cost of membership for an organisation for the academic year September 2010 to September 2011 is €100.00 [£90 (UK)]. Personal Membership

If there is no institution to which you belong you are welcome to join as a "friend of EFTRE". This individual subscription is €10.00 [£9 (UK)]. Dowlonad an application form and sent as an attachment to membership@eftre.net
