| "This link takes you to the Judaism section of the indispensable Paul Hopkins revision site. However, the usefulness of this site goes far beyond a revision tool. The rites of passage section covers birth ceremonies through to funeral customs with separate sections on each. The material is extremely clear and well presented with key quotes highlighted in coloured boxes. In addition, subject-specific words are underlined and linked to the glossary section so very little prior knowledge of Judaism is required before using the site. Key words and concepts are also repeated at the end of each section to reinforce learning. The site is particularly good at explaining the symbolism of each practice and this is usually supported with reference to a short extract from the Torah. There are some useful photos for each section but this is essentially a text-based resource with few interactive features. Nevertheless it does provide links to some other useful Judaism sites also aimed at students.
