I have included here a range of material to get you to begin to engage with the issues that underpin the PGCE Science programme at Hull.

Introduction Reading

The books are just an introduction for you to dip into – they cover all areas of science teaching, some have subject specific sections, others concentrate on pedagogy.

Subject Knowledge Development

I would advise you to begin developing your subject knowledge of physics, chemistry and biology (and maths, if you are a Physics with Maths trainee).  The best place to start is with Key Stage 3 (KS3) science book,  or if you prefer on-line materials,  then work through the BBC Bitesize Series:
