You are here >> Home >> Support whilst on Isolation

Whilst we hope that the lockdown periods are now over this might re-occur in the Autumn term in 2021 - so the pages and support below might become relevent again.

So, below are some sites that you can access to support your continued learning during this period when you are not able to get into schools, or to help if you are expected to undertakje remote learning in schools. Some of these are online learning courses, some links to websites with resources and materials. Some of these are developing general pedagogic or educational ideas and others will help with subject knowledge.

As well as the links below you should consider your own networks and supporting each other via WhatsApp or Skype or Zoom to work on collaborative planning and sharing of ideas. This could be a time for developing some medium term schemes of work, at developing teaching resources, at practise assessing children's work: again possibly in collaboration with your placement schools after Easter. Also remember to use the expertise of your subject and phase tutors and your mentors.

If you are aware of any other organisations offering support for teacher education or development (not school or student support there is lots of that around esp. the list complled by the TES) then could you please mail p.hopkins@hull.ac.uk with the details and I will add to this page.

This is not a list of things you must do - and be assured that if you are not able to do this you will not be penalised in any way - as stated above the first and most important thing to do is to stay safe. This is a list of things that you might want to do and might find useful during this time of isolation - even if you are not in school there are only so many box sets!!
