Downloading and playing YT clips off line

You can download clips of You Tube Video onto your local machine to use off-line. You should check with the producers of the video to check for copyright implications:

  • Install Firefox (http://www.mozilla.com)
  • Install extension "Video DownloadHelper"
  • Re-start FF
  • This should put a small graphic in the bottom left of the FF window
  • Open up the You Tube window and then click on the graphic
  • You should then get a choice of video formats in which to save the file - choose an appropriate one.
